• #MarchMeetTheMaker2021 Day 29: Reel •
After a few technical difficulties I have today’s ‘Forever Making’ reel, showing me making the sculpture I entered into Grayson’s Art Club for week before last’s Work episode on Channel 4.
This is my first time creating an art reel like this so it was a bit of a learning curve for me, especially as I filmed this before getting a new tripod for my phone (as previously mentioned on the ‘Hands On’ timelapse making the portrait embroidery in last week’s post) making the shots a little shaky but I hope to try making more of these reels in the future!

I am going to explore each of the steps I took to make this piece soon in some Grayson’s Art Club posts so make sure to follow not to miss out on them! For now I will share how I made this reel, taking a few videos with my phone while making this sculpture (mostly holding the phone under my chin, which totally explains the shaky camera work!) I then edited the clips together on my iPad using the iMovie app (after the previously mentioned technical difficulties I had trying to put together the clips on my PC) I will definitely remember to go straight to my iMovie app first next time but the experience has made me miss the video editing apps from the Adobe Suite!
