Mission: Impossible – Fallout (McQuarrie, 2018)

> Date Seen: 28th July 2018 <

-Spoilers Alert-

This was an interesting one for me as I have only seen scenes of previous Mission Impossible films and so don’t know much about the series.. However I don’t believe this deterred anything from the experience.

“Go, go, go, go! What are you waiting for?
I’m Jumping out a Window!
Oh, Sorry. Good luck!”

Benji Dunn and Ethan Hunt, Mission: Impossible – Fallout (McQuarrie, 2018)

The film opens with danger as you see Ethan get the task to take down the Syndicate’s Radioactive Material  that is going to be used for bombs before the enemy gets its hands on it. But of course they out smarted Ethan’s kind nature and we lose it. Having the rest of the film following our friends [and the addition of August Walker played by Henry Cavill] as they track it down before used..

I really enjoyed watching the funny little personal connection moments that Ethan has with his friends as this is something I didn’t expect from this film going in. And of course I imagine a great development over the films that one can enjoy if they want them all [making me wish to watch the others].

Whereas the fight scenes I knew were coming – and they didn’t disappoint! Each feeling more dangerous than the last until we watch [leaning on the edge of your seat, forgetting to breath] Ethan and August in this intense final battle scene to save the World.

And that is how I would sum up the film – intense. Even when you haven’t seen all the other films and had the emotional build up with these characters you still connect with them all on the screen and want to see the good guys win and save the World – with the iconic music playing of course!
